The Reverend Joyce Plumb, presenting a cheque for £630 to Pauline Kidner, from Secret World. The cheque represents money raised for the animal welfare charity by the Church at a series of monthly coffee mornings.
Easter crosses on Brent Knoll On Saturday 15th March 2008, once again Churches Together in Burnham and Highbridge erected three crosses on Brent Knoll, on what was probably the wettest occasion ever. The crosses are visible from the A38 and the M5 motorway and provide a witness to the many people travelling on these roads near to Burnham-on-Sea. After only being able to erect one cross last year due to vandalism, we are very grateful to a local church member for purchasing the replacement timber to allow three crosses to be erected. The photographs below show the crosses after they had been erected and the team of volunteers on the Knoll after erecting the crosses.
